Hi folks

I've been noticing this problem with my tempo and i'd like your help to diagnose it properly.

My struts are pretty much worn out and i plan to replace all of them, in strut+spring combo. I say this because i want to plan ahead and fix everything

The problem is, if i drive normaly, the car goes straight with no problems, but if i rev up the engine a little (like if i were "racing"), it tends to "push" the car to the left when i press the clutch.

This is, i noticed that i can compensate this turning the steering wheel a liitle bit while i press the cluch. This is much more noticeable on 1st gear but once i gain speed, it can also happen if i floor it,

Another thing , and i don't know if it's related, i've felt once on a curve that the car, all the sudden, "narrowed" the turn without me moving the steering wheel.

I really hope i can diagnose this problem correctly. Thanks for reading

I have a similar problem with my 5 speed tempo. I just installed a new rack and pinion which steering wheel would not return to center after steering and then letting steering wheel go, along with the problems you described. Autozone told me I most likely got a faulty rack and pinion.

I need to explain better, I installed a new rack and pinion and then I started having those problems so then I called autozone and they told me I have a faulty rack and pinion. I have not installed the replacement rack and pinion yet. Not an easy job.
