| Alright i just started noticing this yesterday, my brakes are not functioning properly... yesterday i had to completely depress the brake pedal to even begin stopping... I added brake fluid today with little improvement. does anybody else know what could be going on?? and in order to get proper braking power i need to pump the brakes continously. Any advise will be appricated. |

Not a good subject for me, but i will try to help.
check the pads, and shoes. both could be wore out.
try bleeding the brakes, could have a air bubble. you will want a friend to help.
possible the master cylinder has leaky piston/seals, or the power booster/vacuum assist is broke.
check the calipers for brake fluid leaking past the piston.
your losing pressure some were
like i said, brakes are my worst subject.
good luck. |

| if there are no leaks anywhere and the master cylinder stays full...my first thought is the master cylinder itself |

Sounds like you've got air in your lines and quite possibly a small leak. Small leaks can quickly open up into "gushers" on the brake system. If you had to take the brake pedal to the floor, you really need to get busy looking into this. You could be one stop away from catastrophic brake failure. There is NEVER a good time for this to happen. Sean
