Ok so I needed a really cheap car to fill with tools and drive to jobs.I found a ford tempo on craigslist. The fuel pump would activate and moan loudly but wouldn't pump. So I gave the guy 200 and brought it to my friends house.
I got a junkyard fuel pump and sender unit for 20 bucks. Pulled tank and **** studs came out so I replaced with bolts. The fuel lines broke so I tossed the plastic lines and used rubber hoses. Then I had a bad time changing brakelines front to back.and the mice in the car kept looking at me while I was bleeding the brakes.then I shoved a oversized battery into it and the hood is kinda open.
Then after 2 days workin on it I finnaly was.able to drive it then power steering line blows.WTH can never win.i bought the line for 35 but it looks like a b***h to change.
Question. does anyone have a belt size or part number for a belt to bypass the power steering pump on my 94 tempo 2.3 atx |

| Going to have to look at the routing and figure out a new way to bypass it. Ideally you would want a manual steering box, but measure the new routing and get a new belt. The length of the belt is part of the belt part number, so it's fairly strait forward to figure out what belt to ask for at the parts store once you know what length you need. Changing the line is just a lot of "taking apart," takes a lot of time, but I think that would be the way to go, to just fix it with the $35 dollar line you have now. |
