I've been browsing the web for an installation kit for my http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/In-Dash/CD-Players/DEH-P5000UB to put in my '89 Mercury Topaz GS. Where can I find one of these suckers?

Help me outttt.

Crutchfield sells kits, as do others. You can probably find some at most auto parts, car stereo, and home electronics stores. The mounting kit will be specific to the car and general to the stereo (i.e., standard, double DIN, etc.) or head unit.

If you've bought a new radio, you will not need a kit to install the radio into the dash. But if you still had the factory radio and plug, it's best to get the wiring adapter so you don't cut any wires in the car. I used the adapter wiring in both my F150 and escape cause they both had the factory radios when I bought them, but the tempo had an aftermarket radio someone install and butchered the factory wiring. As for an install kit for the dash, I didn't need one for either the truck or car when I replaced them because the new radios came with a cage that will slide right into the hole the old radio was in, and has a few tabs you bend over tight against the back side of the opening and that holds the new radio snuggly in place and the radios usually lock into the cage and require special keys (provided with the radio) to remove them. And even in the escape when I replaced it going from the factory double DIN to the new single DIN, I used the cage and cut a trim piece out and painted it textured back to cover the rest of the hole.
