Ive had a problem with the passenger/right rear window. they wont go up or down and its kind of a pain.. when i hold the switch to try and bring down the window all it does is make a noise like it might be stuck? i thought it may have been the motor but im not 100% sure...

If you press the button and it makes a kind of rhythmic sound, the motor's O.K., but the gears aren't. You can buy a gear set, they're just a plastic material, and change it your self.

But do your self a favor and get a Ford Tempo Factory Service manual. The Haynes manual, and the like, are not bad in some areas, but a service manual is the best and most detailed source for info. You can find them on Ebay for a reasonable price.

There are 3 plastic lugs in the gear drive that shear up into crumbled pieces on these, you can get them at part stores. Safety design to not squish young children's heads caught in window.....................
