Great website ... What a find .....
Just bought a 91 Topaz L from a 94 year old grandmother ... Truth. Some rust but otherwise in show room condition. Her vehicle registration had 19 tags on it from the time she bought the vehicle... 98,000kms, only needed a new muffler and rear brake cylinders ... so far.
. The only outstanding items are the head lights. They're cross-eyed and I can't seem to locate the proper horizontal adjustment points. Above each lens, there is a front facing Phillips head screw that I'm pretty sure adjusts the lens vertically(outboard side of the lens). Behind the vertical adjustment screw is an upward pointing male socket head. On the other side of the lens (inboard) is a forward facing male socket head at about the same level as the vertical adjustment screw.
Sure would appreciate any tips on how to manipulate these things so I can get my lights aimimg straight ahead.
Regards

| Here's one. Don't be surprised if the adjustment breaks when you move it. They move easily when new but time and weathering can make them lock up to not move at all, force then used breaks them. |

Lubricate properly those things before you try anything, and yes, it is very likely to be broken during manipulation.
Anyway, i had this issue and what i did is that i went into an underground parking lot, placed my car as perpendiculary as i could from the front wall (i actually measured the distance from the headlight to the wall to ensure both were equally far). Lit my lights and started playing with them until i got them "straight"
After that i moved my car from the wall and behind my brothers car, asked him if the beam bothered him (while inside his car), said no, so i moved them up a little to get more light and i kept doing it until they were too high and bothered my brother.
Look for hella's fog light adjustement manual, there are some tricks in there |

Thanks for the info guys .... Turns out the adjustment screws were indeed messed up. Dropped the whole issue into the lap of my trusty mechanic and let him have at it. Not sure how, nor care, but he got them lined up quite well.
I can see again!!
Thanks again for your feedback
