I was just leaving work today when I noticed it. No clue how it happened. Here's a pic of the windshield crack. Any of you Pa guys know if they will let that slide come inspection time?

doubt it but it depends on how good of friends you and your inspection mechanic are I could get away with it cause I've been working in the auto buisiness for a long time and know plenty of techs. But if you don't know anyone, plan on replacing the glass. |

I'm pretty tight with the shop I take mine to. My best friend used to work there and I became friends with the other two guys who still work there. What sucks is that it's set up to get inspected on Friday. We'll have to see...

i think that most places would let it slide, it's way down in the corner and doesnt look like it will spread anymore

Just go to a known trusted mechanic that you have and he will probably let it go.

I called them this morning and asked about it, and they don't think it's a big deal, so I'm not too worried. Kinda like nubbs just said, the cracks didn't spread away from the corner.

Here in Texas it must noticeably affect vision from the driver seat, that should be just fine. Shifts in unibody from temperature changes cause that all the time.

I must have the worst luck when it comes to windshields. In the 10yrs I had my Pontiac, I had three replaced. One time it started off as a tiny stone chip right in the middle. This was during the winter, so I had my defrost on one morning when it was really cold out, and the crack went the whole way across.
